SHE'S BECOMING INDIGO

She’s becoming indigo,  A sapphire in a cobalt sky,
Retreating in a red Bordeaux, and she’ll be with you by & by & by,
by & by,  by & by,  by & by,

She’s Becoming Indigo, the moments fade away,
Receding in the tidal flow, she roams the Milky Way,

But she’s extraordinary, She’s interplanetary,
She’s revolutionary by & by ,
by & by, by & by,
by & by, by & by,

She’s becoming indigo, reality concealed,
Making  angels in the snow, the bloom has been revealed,
She’s a Quadridecimal, enveloped in light,

But she’s extraordinary, She’s interplanetary,
She’s revolutionary by & by ,
But she’s my inspiration, And she’s my destination,
Always a revelation by & by ,
by & by, by & by,
by & by, by & by,

Sailing through the afternoon, wading in the pool of light,
Collecting phases of the moon, she’s on the air tonight

Becoming indigo again, it’s all so crystal clear,
We are all just denizens of the new frontier,
(CHORUS)

She’s becoming indigo, A jay among the jenny wren,
That’s the way the garden grows, She’s becoming indigo again

Commentary
QUADRIDEC'IMAL, a. [L. quadra and decem.]
In crystallography, designating a crystal whose prism
or the middle part has four faces and two summits,
containing together ten faces.

This song is for my daughter.
It is a metaphor for watching her growing up.
The vocal track was really only meant to be for a demo.
Although it has some flaws I decided to keep it because of it's inherent sincerity.

"Making angels in the snow, the bloom has been revealed..."

I came across the term "quadradecimal" while looking up something else in a dictionary.
It's not a word usually found in my natural vocabulary.
It is a term used to describe the faceting of a gem.
Although not a common word, I thought it described her intrinsic beauty  and complexity perfectly.
It seemed like a good idea to include the definition on the lyrics page.
